What's new

Version 2026-10-28

What has shipped, newest first. Written by hand — a list generated from commits tells you what changed in the code, which is not the same as what changed for you.

28 October 2026

You pay a month ahead, and we say so. A drop ships in the month after the payment that bought it, so your second payment comes before your first drop arrives. The page you join from, the page after paying and your welcome email now name each drop by the month it ships, and say which drop your next charge pays for. The membership terms say so too.

22 October 2026

Sales tax. Membership prices are before sales tax, which is added where the law requires it, for the address a membership ships to. If you joined before, the tax is included in what you already pay: your payment does not change. The membership terms say so.

2 October 2026

Brands get paid through Stripe. A brand's owner gives Stripe their bank and identity details on Stripe's own page — they never reach us — and each month the agency sends the brand its share.

Personal data, kept on purpose. Error records keep where something broke, never what was typed, and go after 30 days. Members' home addresses are encrypted. Deleting somebody now removes every copy, photos included. Only admins can download a file of everybody, and every download is recorded. An owner can close an organization, and a person can delete their own account. The privacy policy names our texting and email providers.

21 September 2026

Oathbringer is now Drop Monthly, at dropmonthly.com. Same product, same account, new name — it builds memberships around monthly drops, which is what it had become. The terms, the privacy policy and the support addresses say Drop Monthly now, so you will be asked to accept the terms again the next time you sign in. Support is at support@dropmonthly.com.

Joining a brand asks first. A fan who joins a brand's membership or its waitlist gives an email and a mobile number, and agrees to emails and to texts as two separate, unticked choices — before anything is paid. Paying happens on Stripe's own secure page; no card number reaches us.

31 August 2026

A front of the house. Oathbringer now has pages you can read without signing in: this one, the terms, the privacy policy and support. The terms carry a version, and we record which one you accepted and when.

27 August 2026

PDF documents. Invoices now render as real PDFs, laid out with the same design system as the app, on a machine that exists for the length of one render and then shuts down.

Accessibility, checked on every push. Every page in the app is now driven by a real browser in CI and audited against axe-core. Keyboard navigation, focus order and contrast are part of the build rather than something we get around to.

26 August 2026

A public API. Three resources — your credential, your members, and notes on a member — behind scoped tokens, with a reference derived from the routes themselves so it cannot drift from what the API actually does.

Audit records. Every gated act inside an organization is now recorded: refusals as they are refused, successes as they happen.

24 August 2026

Notifications. An inbox in the app and email beside it, with per-event preferences and one-click unsubscribe.

Single sign-on groundwork. Organizations can claim a domain, ahead of requiring their identity provider for everybody on it.

20 August 2026

Members. The first release: connect a Shopify store, and see the people it knows about resolved into one record each, with every source's version of them kept whole underneath.
